OK.  Here are the proposed races that will constitute the 2012 "Club Championship" races (thanks to Brian).
Please note that Dunbar "goes large" this year with the inclusion of "any ultra". However, there's loads of different distances and plenty of 10k's for those looking for fast races.

Oh. And the club 5k is included this year - so there's even more incentive to come along to interval training on a Thursday.
  • Loch Leven Half
  • Haddington Half
  • Black Rock 5
  • Any Marathon
  • E2NB
  • Any parkrun April/June/Sept
  • Peebles trail 10K
  • Portobello 4 miler
  • Traprain Law
  • NB Law
  • Musselburgh 10k
  • Stirling 10K
  • Haddington 10K
  • Any ultra
  • 3 points for each club 5K win......? (gives everyone a fair chance?) if you win it more than once you keep getting the points. Starts April.

Please let Brian, Theresa or Anne know about any changes/additions you may want to see. This MUST be done by Friday 30th March - otherwise we are going with the above list "as is".

After All That Mud....

..there are still a few off road races to be had after the cross-country.

On Sunday Ian Sills, Jane Timms and Sheila Morrison took part in the
Gartmorn 6 - a six mile off road race near Alloa - a very scenic route
round a loch on tracks and paths. Ian was 8th overall and 3rd Vet in
36.37, Jane finished in 54.53 and Sheila 57.10.

The previous Sunday at the Lasswade 10-mile race, Stuart Hay finished
10th in 59:52 with Ian Sills 12th in 60:34. Rhona Anderson had another
good run in 66:58, with Anne Hay finishing in 80:43.

On the same day, Sheila Morrison took part in the Abroath Smokies
Ladies 10 mile road race finishing in 94.39, while Theresa Leslie ran
the Ronhill Cambuslang Down by the River 10km in 52.55 - only three
seconds outside her pb for the distance.

On 26th February, several runners travelled to Kincardine to run the
Devilla Forest 15K - Ian Sills finished 9th overall in 57:52 with
Stuart finishing just behind in 58:10. Lee Curtis finished in 1:09:29,
Andrew Sheldrick in 1:09:53, Anne in 1:17:08, Jane in 1:30:56 and
Theresa 1:31:57.
