This is a 15km which takes place on Tuesday 10th July at 19:15.

This scenic road race covers a distance of 15km (9.3miles) over
undulating multi-terrain in and around the pretty Spa town of Moffat
and there's no hiding the fact there's a bit of a hill in the middle!
It's a perfect training run for those on target for a pb in an autumn
full or half marathon.

Sunshine!!

Given the current state of the weather, it has been a bit of a surprise to have the sun put in appearance the last two Saturdays to coincide with a couple of races (the poor weather also brings out the absent-minded side; forgetting what it's like to run in a bit of warmth and forgetting to apply the suncream!)

At the Edinburgh to North Berwick on 5th May, Dunbar had a good showing with eight runners taking part. Stuart Hay came in 4th overall, taking the 1st vet prize in 2:05:15.  Ian Rowland, getting his race legs back, finished in 2:14:18, with Rhona Anderson coming over the line in 2:21:50, giving her 2nd female vet prize.  Brian Davidson had a good run, finishing in 2:28:21, with Susan Lyle finishing in an excellent 2:31:30 in her first attempt at the longer distance.  Andy Sheldrick, two weeks after the London Marathon, finished in 2:38:01, Neal Wyatt in 2:49:38 and Anne Hay in 2:51:57.

The Loch Leven Half Marathon on the 12th proved a popular race as ever with 491 runners completing the course, which had a change in the last couple of miles to accommodate the new finish.  Stuart finished 7th overall (and was awarded the 1st vet prize) in 1:20:03, with Ian Sills finishing 11th in 1:20:43.  Ian Rowland finished in 1:27:09, Brian Davidson in 1:31:11, Neal Wyatt in 1:43:19, Neil Jones in 1:45:05, Karen Page, coming back into racing, in 1:47:43, Anne in 1:50:51, Jane Timms, having a good run, in 1:58:58 and Theresa Leslie in 2:12:37.
